    If you make a mistake on your order, we will try to assist you before it ships in order to make any corrections.

    If something doesn't function properly we will assist you with the RMA process.

    If you simply do not want the product after receiving it, the unit must be sent back with an RMA number,containing all of it's original packaging and in new and sellable condition, within seven days of receiving the RMA. If your product is accepted and inspected finding no scratches and missing no items or packing materials, there is a 30% re-stocking fee.

    Our goal is to make people more secure and we only sell products that are of high quality and provide good value. Our mission is to earn your repeat business and referrals. 



  • Shipping & Delivery
  • At this time, the Department of Hometown Security ships merchandise to locations within the United States and U.S. territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. We also ship to Canada, but not to other international locations due to cross-border security regulations. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.



  • Sales Tax
  • the Department of Hometown Security charges sales tax for merchandise ordered on this Web site based on the applicable state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped. If a mistake is made and sales tax was not collected as it should have been, the Department of Hometown Security will submit a tax bill to satisfy the deficiency.

  • You may purchase merchandise from this Web site by using any one of the payment options listed in (link to Payment Options). the Department of Hometown Security reserves the right to change its payment procedures at any time without prior notice to you.

    Return Policies

    One of our Major Equipment Providers is UNIXCCTV. THrough them we purchase the majority of our eyemax DVRs, Prime Series DVRs, eyemax cameras and Telpix Cameras and accessories.

    Please review the UNIX Return Policy as we work on your behalf as your autorized Agent registered with UNIXCCTV.

     

    Equipment Warranties  

     Unix CCTV, Inc. ("Unix") provides a 3-year warranty on Eyemax brand products.

    • Unix CCTV, Inc. ("Unix") provides a 1-year warranty on Telpix and Generic brand products.
    • Unix CCTV, Inc. ("Unix") provides a 1-year warranty on LCD's and monitors, which are limited to repairs only.
    • Accessories are not covered under warranty. They are sold as is.
    • Unix's warranty is extended only to the original purchaser.
    • The warranty only covers defects in materials or workmanship by the manufacturer and does not cover damages resulting from normal usage or the user's negligence. Water damage will not be covered by our warranty.
    • We do not accept any Return or Exchange on following Items: All Clearance Items.
    • Exchange or return will not be accepted unless pre-authorize by our RMA department. Request for Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be made with in 3 business days from receipt of order
    • We must receive return merchandise within 7 business days after RMA Number has been issued. Return freight charges are prepaid by customer. Collect shipments will be refused.
    • Returning merchandise must be sent back in its original factory condition and packaging. We cannot accept items that are not in original factory condition. The return item must have the original hairnet, labels and tags still attached and undamaged. Items altered in any way will not be accepted. Do not mark, tape or attach anything which may cause damage to the original packaging box. Damaged packaging box will not be accepted for return.
    • All exchanges must be received by UnixCCTV within 30 days of the purchase invoice date.
    • Accessories cannot be exchanged or returned.
    • Unix CCTV will not provide a refund - only store credit is allowed.
    • Unix CCTV will only provide an exchange for a product that (1) is in its original condition, (2) contains all accompanying parts, and (3) is unopened in its original package.
    • Unix CCTV will charge a 30.0% restocking fee for all returned items.
    • Requests for product repair or replacement will be processed in approximately 3 to 4 weeks upon Unix CCTV's receipt of the product.
    • There are no advanced replacements.
    • The repaired or replaced product will be returned to the purchaser by Unix CCTV within US only (Except AK, HI) by UPS ground only with no exceptions. Please ensure that the return address is deliverable by UPS (P.O. Box return addresses will not be accepted).
    • In the event the customer's product (delivered via UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, or USPS) is returned or refused by Unix CCTV, the customer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges without any exceptions. This also applies to all verbal and written orders.
    • Shipping and Handling charges are non-refundable.

      Return Merchandise Authorization ("RMA" Procedures) 

      UNIX CCTV does not communicate with end-users, so you must communicate through the Department of Hometown Security by calling 407-442-7573 or 407-970-3007, emailing sales@DOHTS.com or texting 4076837663. We would be glad to help you with your RMA.
